Crankcase ventilation valve (PCV)
On Zetec engines the valve is located in the oil separator (see Fig. 4E.19). To access the valve, remove the air pulsation system.
Oil separator
Remove the exhaust manifold. Remove the PCV valve and clean it. Replace if necessary.
Unscrew the bolt securing the oil separator to the cylinder block and remove it together with the gasket. Clean or replace the oil separator.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
