Exhaust manifold — removal and installation

Withdrawal

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Section 100-02 for more information.

2. Disconnect the exhaust manifold bracket and disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connectors (HO2S).



3. Lower the car.

4. Detach the heat shield.



5. Disconnect the exhaust manifold from the catalytic converter.



6. Disconnect the exhaust manifold from the cylinder head.

Installation

1. Connect the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head.

NOTE: Replace gasket.

Connect the exhaust manifold to the catalytic converter.



3. Install the heat shield.



4. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Section 100-02 for more information.

5. Tighten the exhaust manifold bracket and connect the HO2S sensor connectors.



6. Lower the car.
