Removal
1. Remove the camshafts. For more information, refer to the Camshafts chapter in this section. Remove the valve lifters and set them aside one at a time.

WARNING: Always wear safety glasses when working with compressed air. Failure to do so may result in injury.
Remove the spark plug from cylinder No.1 and connect the special tool.

3.
CAUTION: Air pressure in the range (7-10) bar.
Connect the special tools and supply compressed air to the cylinder.
- 1. Compress the valve spring.
- 2. Remove the breadcrumbs.
- Remove the spring plate and valve spring

4. Remove the valve stem oil seal.
- 1.Insert the special tool.
- 2.Turn the special tool clockwise and pull it out.

Installation
1. Install the valve stem oil seal.
- Apply engine oil to the valve stem.
- Cover the grooves on the valve stem with a bushing to install the valve stem oil seal.
- Slide the oil seal onto the valve stem and remove the oil seal installation sleeve from the valve stem.

NOTE: Check that the valve cotters are installed correctly.
Install the valve spring.
- Insert the valve spring and spring retainer.
- 1. Compress the valve spring.
- 2.Install the crackers.

3.
NOTE: Do not tighten at this stage.
Remove special tool 303-363.
4. Repeat these steps on all other cylinders.
5. Apply engine oil to the valve lifter and insert the lifter into place.
6. Install the camshafts. For more information, refer to the Camshafts chapter in this section.
