Gear shift lever mechanism — removal and installation (Focus 1)

Removal

1. Remove the gear shift lever cover.

• 1. Release the lid.
• 2. Remove the gear shift knob. Remove the damping bushings and compression spring.
• Disconnect the connectors (the number and configuration depends on the specific equipment).

2. Remove the center console.



3. Disconnect the shift and select cables from the gear shift lever.

• Remove the shift and select cables by turning the support rings counterclockwise.

4. Remove the gear shift mechanism.

Installation

1. Install the elements back in place in reverse order.



2. Adjust the gear shift mechanism.
