Headlight leveling motor (vehicles up to 10.2001) (Focus 1)

Removal

1. Remove the headlight. For more information, refer to the Headlights (Single Side) chapter in this section.

2. Remove the rear cover of the headlight.



3. Turn the headlight range adjuster motor counterclockwise until it stops.

CAUTION: Turn the headlight leveling motor to the right when removing the right headlight and to the left when removing the left headlight.

Disconnect the headlight range control motor ball joint from the reflector.

• 1. Hold the reflector still.
• 2. Push the headlight range control motor to the side and remove it.

5. Remove the headlight range control motor.

• Disconnect the headlight range control motor connector.

Installation

1.

NOTE: Make sure the ball end of the headlight range control motor is inserted into the guide.

Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
