Headlight leveling sensor — removal and installation (Focus 1)

Removal

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Section 100-02 for additional information.

2. Disconnect the headlight leveling sensor connector (rear sensor shown).

• Disconnect the wiring harness from the bracket.

3. Disconnect the connecting rod from the bracket (rear sensor shown).



4. Remove the headlight leveling sensor together with the bracket (rear sensor shown).



5. Remove the headlight leveling sensor together with the bracket (front sensor shown).





6. Disconnect the connecting rod from the headlight leveling sensor.



7. Remove the headlight leveling sensor.

Installation

1.

NOTE: After installing the headlight leveling sensor, initialize the headlight leveling system using WDS.

Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
