Front high beam headlight bulb (Focus 1)

Removal

1. Remove the headlight. For more information, refer to the Headlights (Single Side) chapter in this section.

WARNING: High voltage is present in the system. Before removing the rear headlight cover, make sure to disconnect the headlight connector. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.

Remove the rear headlight cover.

NOTE: Turn the headlight leveling motor counterclockwise when removing the right headlight and clockwise when removing the left headlight.

Turn the headlight range control motor to the stop (right side shown).



4. Disconnect the headlight range adjuster motor from the bracket.



5. Turn the high beam bulb counterclockwise.

• Remove the high beam bulb.

6. Remove the high beam bulb.

Installation

NOTE: Make sure the headlight leveling motor ball joint is installed correctly.

Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
