Diagnostic Test Mode

Central timer module (CTM) has a self-diagnostic function. This function allows you to activate the four output signals of the CTM module.

To prepare the vehicle for self-test mode, set the windshield wiper switch to position I, set the interior lamp switch to position 12 SEC, and close both doors. To select the self-diagnostic function of the CTM, hold down the heated rear window switch while turning the ignition key to the ON position, then release the heated rear window switch. The CTM then enters self-test mode and waits for a command to activate the four outputs. The heated rear window switch is used to turn each of the four CTM outputs on and off.
  • Set the wipers to position I
  • Press the heated rear window switch
  • Set the interior lamp switch to the ON position
  • Turn on the seat belt warning light on the instrument panel

To exit the self-diagnosis mode, turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
