Diagnostic check mode

The Central Timer Module (CTM) has a self-diagnostic function. This function allows the four output signals of the CTM module to be activated.

To prepare the vehicle for the self-diagnosis mode, set the windshield wiper switch to the I position, set the interior lamp switch to the 12 SEC position, and close both doors. To select the CTM self-diagnosis function, hold down the rear window defogger switch while turning the ignition switch to the ON position, then release the rear window defogger switch. The CTM then enters the self-diagnosis mode and waits for a command to activate the four output signals. The rear window defogger switch is used to turn each of the four CTM output signals on and off.
  • Set the windscreen wipers to position I
  • Press the rear window defroster switch
  • Set the interior light switch to the ON position
  • Turn on the seat belt indicator light on the instrument panel

To exit the self-diagnosis mode, turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
