Inspection and verification


1. Check the customer complaint.

2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of electrical damage.

3. If an obvious cause for the problem you have identified or the problem described by the customer is found, correct it (if possible) before proceeding with further actions.

4. If the cause is not visually obvious, refer to the parking assist module reset procedure.

Parking Assist Module Reinstallation Procedure


1. Turn the ignition key to position 0.

2. Disconnect the parking aid module fuse.

3. Turn the ignition key to position II.

4. Select reverse gear, then deselect reverse gear.

5. Turn the ignition key to position 0.

6. Connect the parking aid module fuse link.

7. Check if the system is working properly. If the problem persists, refer to the self-diagnosis mode.

Self-diagnostic mode


1. To enter the parking assist module self-diagnosis mode, turn the ignition key to position 0, remove the parking assist module fuse, and make sure that the gear is in neutral.

2. Make sure there are no obstacles within 2 meters from the rear of the vehicle.



3. Turn the ignition key to position II and select reverse gear.

4. The self-diagnosis mode is indicated by a sound signal from the parking assistance module speaker, which sounds for three seconds with a one-second pause.

5. If a fault is detected in the parking assistance sensor, the parking assistance module indicates this by a sequence of beeps from the parking assistance speaker.

6. If a fault is detected in several parking assistance system sensors, the second sequence is output after the first sequence.

7. To exit the self-diagnosis mode, select neutral position, turn the ignition key to position 0 and install the parking assist module fuse.

Proceed to PINPOINT TEST B.


8. If the complaint is not resolved after passing the Self-Diagnostic Mode, refer to the Table of Malfunction Signs.
