The warning horn provides the driver with an audible warning when the ignition is on, the ignition key is in the ignition, the driver's door is open, and the lights are on.

The system uses several input signals to provide the driver with audible warnings.

Central timer module (CTM)

Central timer module (CTM) acts as a systems monitoring device to provide audible warnings to the driver. The module receives input signals from the switches and activates an audible warning.

Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder

A continuous warning chime sounds when the driver's door is open and the ignition key is inserted in the ignition switch. The horn stops when the key is removed from the ignition. The switch is a built-in element of the ignition switch cylinder.

Headlight switch

A continuous warning chime sounds when the driver's door is open and the lights are on. This horn sounds regardless of whether the ignition key is inserted in the ignition switch and goes off when the lights are turned off.

Door sill switch

The driver's door sill lamp switch will activate the warning signal from the system if the ignition key is inserted into the ignition switch and the lamps are on, and the door is open / not fully closed. There are no audible warnings until the driver's door is opened.
