Removal
1. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Section 303-05 for additional information.
2. Using the special tool, disconnect the power steering fluid cooler hose.
- 1. Insert the special tool into the quick release coupling.
- 2. Run the special tool along the pipeline to release the locking elements.
- Allow the liquid to drain into a suitable container.

3. Disconnect the power steering line support bracket from the engine.

4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Disconnect the power steering pressure (PSP) switch connector. Press the locking element.

6. Disconnect the nipple connection of the power steering line. Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.

7. Disconnect the power steering fluid hose from the power steering pump. Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.

8. Disconnect the power steering pump support bracket from the engine (shown below for clarity).

9. Remove the power steering pump.

10. Remove the power steering line from the power steering pump.

11. Remove the PSP relay.

Installation
1.
NOTE: When installing a new power steering pump, the nipple connections supplied with the pump should be removed and saved for future use.
Using the special tool, install a new O-ring onto the nipple connecting the power steering line to the power steering pump.
- 1.Place the new seal on the special tool.
- 2. Install the special tool on the nipple and install the O-ring in the required position.

2. Install the PSP relay.

3. Connect the power steering line to the power steering pump.

4. Install the power steering pump.

5. Attach the power steering pump support bracket to the engine (shown below for clarity).

6. Connect the power steering hose to the power steering pump.

7. Connect the nipple connection of the power steering line.

8. Connect the PSP relay plug connector.

9. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Section 100-02 for additional information.
10. Connect the power steering line support bracket to the engine.

11. Connect the power steering fluid cooler hose.

12. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Section 303-05 for additional information.
13. Add power steering fluid and bleed the system. Refer to Section 211-00 for additional information.
