Removal
1. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Section 303-05 for additional information.
2. Disconnect the power steering line from the power steering pump support bracket.

3. Using the special tool, disconnect the power steering line from the power steering pump. Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.

4. Disconnect the power steering pressure (PSP) switch connector.

5. Disconnect the power steering fluid hose from the power steering pump. Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.

6. Remove the power steering pump.

7. Remove the PSP relay.

Installation
1.
NOTE: When installing a new power steering pump, the nipple connections supplied with the new pump should be removed and saved for future use.
Using the special tool, install a new O-ring onto the nipple connecting the power steering line to the power steering pump.
- 1.Press the O-ring to install it on the special tool.
- 2. Install the special tool on the nipple and install the O-ring in the required position.

2. Install the PSP relay.

3. Install the power steering pump.

4. Connect the power steering fluid hose to the power steering pump.

5. Connect the PSP relay plug connector.

6. Using the special tool, connect the power steering line to the power steering pump.

7. Connect the power steering line to the power steering pump support bracket.

8. Install the accessory drive. Refer to Section 303-05 for additional information.
9. Add power steering fluid and bleed the system. Refer to Section 211-00 for additional information.
