Steering gear housing (Focus 1)

Removal

1. Remove the tie rod end. For more information, refer to the Tie Rod End chapter in this section.

2. Remove the cover.

• 1. Remove the clamps.
• 2. Disconnect the breather tube (if equipped).
• 3. Remove the cover.

Installation

1.

CAUTION: Make sure the steering rod is clean before installing the cover.

NOTE: Install the cover. Use new clips.

Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
