Removal
1. Loosen the nuts on the front wheels.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Section 100-02 for additional information.
3. Remove the wheel.
4. Loosen the tie rod end lock nut and remove the nut.
- 1. Loosen the lock nut.
- 2. Remove the nut.

5. Using the special tool, disconnect the tie rod end from the steering knuckle.

NOTE: Note the number of turns required to remove the tie rod end.
Remove the tie rod end and lock nut.

Installation
1.
NOTE: Make sure the tie rod end is screwed in the same number of turns as it took to remove it. Install a new tie rod end nut. After installation, check the wheel alignment. Refer to Section 204-00 for additional information.
Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
