Shock absorber — 3-door/4-door (15 791 0)

Withdrawal

1. Detach the cargo area trim panel and place it aside.

2.

CAUTION: Use the correct wrench to prevent the piston rod from turning.

Remove the upper shock absorber mounting nut.



3. Raise and support the vehicle. See Section 100-02 for more information.

4. Remove shock absorber.

Installation

NOTE: The final tightening of the upper shock nut and lower shock mounting bolt should be done with the vehicle resting on its own wheels.

NOTE: Do not fully tighten the lower shock mounting bolt at this stage.

Install shock absorber.

NOTE: Guide the shock absorber piston rod into the mounting hole.

Lower the car.



3.

CAUTION: Use the correct wrench to prevent the piston rod from turning.

Install the upper shock absorber mounting nut.



4. Connect the cargo area trim panel.

5. Tighten the lower shock absorber mounting bolt.
