Removal
1. General notes:
- Depending on the nature of the damage, sectional replacement of the rear panel is possible.
- Before starting repairs, remove the bumper, taillight, tailgate seal, lock counter part and rear muffler of the exhaust system.
- Move flooring and electrical wiring away from the work area.
2. Rear panel (both sides)
- 1. Rout to a depth equal to twice the panel thickness.
- 2. Mill out the spot weld areas using an abrasive wheel.

3. Spare wheel niche
- 1. Mill out the spot weld areas.
- 2. Rout the spot welds (to a depth equal to twice the panel thickness).

4. Crossbar
- Mill out the spot weld areas (on both sides).

Installation
1. Spare wheel niche
- 1. Perform puddling welding.
- 2. Drill (5mm diameter) the existing holes to a depth equal to the panel thickness. Then perform puddling welding (to a depth equal to twice the panel thickness).

2. Rear panel (both sides)
- 1. Drill (5mm diameter) the existing holes to a depth equal to the panel thickness. Then perform puddling welding (to a depth equal to twice the panel thickness).
- 2. Perform puddling welding.

3. Crossbar (on both sides)
- Perform puddling welding.
