Removal
1. General note
- Before starting repairs, remove the rear side panel.
2. Light mounting panel
- 1. Mill out spot welds from the back side using an abrasive wheel.
- 2. Cut.
3. Light mounting panel
- 1. Mill spot welds using a ball nose milling cutter.
- 2. Mill spot welds using a ball nose bit (to a depth equal to twice the panel thickness).
- 3. Heat the foam-filled area and remove the lamp mounting panel. Then remove the NVH element carrier plate.
Installation
1. Light mounting panel
- 1. Install the NVH element carrier plate.
- 2. Apply body sealant.
- 3. Apply body sealant from the inside and be sure to do so after all welding work has been completed.
2. Light mounting panel
- 1. Perform puddling welding.
- 2. Drill the existing hole (to 5mm diameter) to a depth equal to the thickness of the panel. Then perform puddling welding.
