Removal
1. Remove the front seat. For more information, refer to the Front Seat chapter in this section.
2. Remove the lower outer trim panel.
- 1. Detach the rear mounting tab.
- 2. Disconnect the lower trim panel from the upper trim panel.
- 3. Disconnect the front mounting tab.

3. Remove the upper outer trim panel.

4. Remove the seat belt buckle and tensioner.

5. Remove the lower interior trim panel.
- 1. Detach the rear mounting tab.
- 2. Disconnect the lower trim panel from the upper trim panel.
- 3. Disconnect the front mounting tab.

CAUTION: To avoid damaging the seat back recline adjustment knob, apply even pressure to opposite sides of the knob.
Remove the seat back tilt adjustment knob.

7. Remove the upper interior trim panel.

8. Remove the front seat cushion. For more information, refer to the Front Seat Cushion chapter in this section.
9. Disconnect the side airbag module electrical connector from the rear of the seat (if equipped).
- 1. Using a suitable screwdriver, press the locking tab.
- 2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
- 3. Disconnect the mounting clamp.

10. Disconnect the side airbag module wiring harness from the seat frame (if equipped).
- Disconnect the mounting clamps.

11. Disconnect the seat back heating mat electrical connector from the rear of the seat (if equipped).
- 1. Using a suitable screwdriver, press the locking tab.
- 2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
- 3. Disconnect the mounting clamp.

12. Disconnect the seat back heating mat wiring harness from the seat frame (if equipped).
- Disconnect the mounting clamps.

13. Disconnect the seatback lock lever cables from the seat frame.
- 1. Disconnect the outer cable from the mounting bracket.
- 2. Disconnect the inner cable from the seat frame.

NOTE: The seat back rests on top of the seat frame using mounting studs.
Remove the front seat back.
- 1. Unscrew the mounting nuts.
- 2. Remove the seat back.

Installation
1. To install, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.
