Front seat cushion — removal and installation

Withdrawal

All cars

1. Remove the front seat. For more information, refer to the Front Seat chapter available in this section.

2. Remove the CD changer (CD) (in the presence of). See Section 415-01 for more information.

Vehicles manufactured before 08/2001

3. Disconnect the seat belt tensioner electrical connector from the back of the seat.

• 1. Using a suitable screwdriver, press the locking tab.
• 2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
• 3. Disconnect the mounting clips.

NOTE: On vehicles with heated front seats, the seat cushion heater mat harness runs along the seat belt pretensioner harness.

Disconnect the seat cushion heater mat electrical connector from the back of the seat (in the presence of).

• 1. Using a suitable screwdriver, press the locking tab.
• 2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
• 3. Disconnect the mounting clips.

NOTE: On vehicles with power front seats, the seat height adjustment motor harness runs along the seat belt pretensioner harness.

Disconnect the seat height adjustment motor electrical connector from the back of the seat (in the presence of).

• 1. Using a suitable screwdriver, press the locking tab.
• 2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
• 3. Disconnect the mounting clips.

Vehicles manufactured since 08/2001

6. Disconnect the seat belt tensioner electrical connector from the back of the seat.

• 1. Using a suitable screwdriver, press the locking tab.
• 2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
• 3. Disconnect the mounting clips.

NOTE: On vehicles with heated front seats, the seat cushion heater mat harness runs along the seat belt pretensioner harness.

Disconnect the seat cushion heater mat electrical connector from the back of the seat (in the presence of).

• 1. Use a suitable screwdriver.
• 2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
• 3. Disconnect the mounting clips.

NOTE: On vehicles equipped with heated front seats, the seat height adjustment motor harness runs along the seat belt pretensioner harness.

Disconnect the seat height adjustment motor electrical connector from the back of the seat (in the presence of).

• 1. Using a suitable screwdriver, press the locking tab.
• 2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
• 3. Disconnect the mounting clips.

All cars

9. Remove the CD changer unit support brackets (CD) (in the presence of).

• Drill out the rivets.

10. Remove the front seat cushion.

Installation

1. To install, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
