Removal
Front belt on three-door hatchback models
Using a lever, remove the decorative cover from the upper front seat belt mount. Unscrew the mounting bolt, remove the upper belt mount and the gasket. Unscrew the mounting bolt of the lower seat belt support. Turn the support toward the center of the car and remove the belt from it.
Unscrew the belt inertia drum mounting bolt and remove the drum together with the belt.
Front seat belt on five-door hatchback, saloon, estate and van models
Using a lever, remove the decorative cover of the upper belt fastening. Unscrew the fastening bolt and remove the upper belt fastening from the gasket (see Fig. 11.64).
Unscrew the bolt securing the lower seat belt. Remove the center pillar trim by removing the door seals and unscrewing 2 screws.
Unscrew the 6 screws securing the belt guide plate and remove it.
Unscrew the bolt and remove the inertia drum from the center post (see Fig. 11.65).
Front seat belt height adjuster
Using a lever, remove the decorative cover from the upper seat belt mount. Unscrew the bolt and remove the upper seat belt mount with the gasket.
Remove the interior trim of the center pillar by removing the door seals and unscrewing 2 screws.
Unscrew the screws and remove the belt height adjuster (see Fig. 11.66).
Front seat belt buckle
Remove the corresponding front seat.
Unscrew 1 bolt and remove the belt buckle.
Rear seat belt on three-door hatchback models
Using a lever, remove the decorative cover of the upper seat belt mount. Unscrew the bolt of the upper seat belt mount and remove the mount with the gasket.
Unscrew the bolt securing the lower belt mount bracket, turn the bracket toward the center of the vehicle and remove the belt from it.
Raise the rear seat cushion and unscrew the central seat belt mounting bolt (see Fig. 11.67).
Remove the rear seat belt lower mounting bolt.
Remove the rear seat belt upper mounting bolt and remove the mounting with the gasket from the rear pillar.
Tilt the back of the rear seat down and unscrew the 2 screws that secure the back.
Remove the interior trim of the center pillar by removing the door seals and unscrewing 2 screws.
Remove the rear trim elements.
Remove the rear pillar interior trim.
Unscrew the 3 Torx bolts and remove the rear seat back latches.
Unscrew the inertia drum mounting bolt and remove it together with the belt.
Rear seat belt on five-door hatchback models.
Remove the rear seat cushion, unscrew the bolts and remove the center seat belt anchor.
Unscrew the lower belt mount bolt.
Unscrew the bolt of the upper belt mount to the rear pillar and remove the upper mount with the gasket (see Fig. 11.68).
Tilt the rear seat back down and remove the 2 Torx screws securing the seat back latch.
Remove the rear pillar interior trim.
Unscrew the 3 Torx bolts and remove the rear seat back latch.
Unscrew the inertia drum mounting bolt and remove it together with the belt.
Rear seat belt on sedan models.
Remove the rear seat cushion, unscrew the bolts and remove the center seat belt mount. Unscrew the lower seat belt mount bolt.
Unscrew the upper belt mounting bolt on the rear pillar.
Tilt the rear seat back down and remove the rear pillar interior trim. Unscrew the nut and remove the rear seat back latch button.
Unscrew 2 Torx screws and remove the rear seat back latch. Unscrew 3 Torx bolts and remove the rear seat back latch suspension. Unscrew the inertia drum mounting bolt and remove it together with the belt.
Rear seat belt on estate models.
Remove the rear seat cushion and unscrew the center seat belt mounting bolts. Unscrew the lower seat belt mounting bolt.
Unscrew the bolt securing the upper belt mount to the rear pillar and remove the upper mount with the gasket. Tilt the rear seat back forward and unscrew the 2 screws securing the rear seat back latch. Remove the interior trim of the two rear pillars and the side trim of the trunk.
Unscrew the 3 Torx screws and remove the backrest latch assembly (see Fig. 11.69).
Unscrew the inertia drum mounting bolt and remove the drum together with the belt (see Fig. 11.70).
Installation
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Tighten all seat belt mounting bolts to the required torque and check their functionality.
