Experienced amateurs can detect the only defective nozzle even on their own. Run the engine to idle and then loosen the injection pipe union nut in turn for a short time. If at any injector, despite the weakened pipeline, the speed remains unchanged, then the injector or valve of the corresponding cylinder is faulty. In addition, you recognize defective injectors by the following symptoms:
- regularly faulty glow plugs,
- constantly black smoke from the muffler,
- increased fuel consumption
- engine overheats frequently
- harsh combustion noises (loud noise in the engine),
- power reduction.
