Cold start equipment for diesel engine

            0

The cold start equipment for a diesel engine plays the same role as an automatic starter for a gasoline engine: both systems help a cold engine start. But that's where the similarities end. The use of equipment for starting a cold diesel engine depends on the prevailing temperature, but it does not, for example, reduce the air supply to the cylinders, but quickly shifts the injection moment to the position «advance». This gives the atomized fuel more time to ignite next to compressed air and glow plugs - the engine starts «more willingly and evenly».

In addition, the diesel cold start equipment slightly increases the idle speed and provides additional heating for a certain period of time, depending on the engine temperature. This reduces direct injection engine noise, improves idle performance and reduces carbon emissions during the warm-up phase.
