Dismantling
Raise the vehicle securely on a level surface, remove the front wheel.
Disconnect the brake hose attachment and connecting rod to the stabilizer.
Remove the front brake caliper mounting bolts. To do this, remove protective caps 1 and unscrew bolts 2.
Remove the front brake caliper
Tilt the brake caliper to the side and secure with wire in the wheel arch (the brake hose must not be kinked).
Unscrew the lock nut on the tie rod end.
Use a soft cloth to protect the sealing collar on the ball joint from damage.
Disconnect the tie rod shank with a puller.
Use a soft cloth to protect the lower control arm ball joint from damage.
Disconnect the ball joint as described above.
Unscrew the fixing bolts of the swivel bearing.
Remove the swivel bearing with a collet.
Tilt the drive shaft aside and support it in the wheel arch.
Support the suspension strut to avoid damage.
Unscrew the three fixing nuts (arrows) on the shock absorber.
Unscrew the fastener (arrows) on the suspension strut dome
Pull the suspension strut down from the wheel arch.
Installation
Mount all structural elements in reverse order.
When mounting, the shock absorber must be in the center of the dome.
Tighten the upper fixing bolts only when the steering swivel bearing is fixed with the spring strut in the mounting position.
Have the front axle geometry measured by a specialist workshop.
