Before installation, complete the new hood with the mounting parts of the old hood.
Unscrew the hood lock bolts.
Secure the hood with the hinge bolts pulled slightly forward and align it so that the hood is in the same plane as the radiator grille and the dimensions of the gaps in relation to the fenders are the same everywhere.
Screw in both hood support struts.
Close the hood and adjust it flush with the hood latch in relation to both wings. Then unscrew the rubber shock absorber until the hood still has a minimum pre-tension in the closed position.
Tighten the hood latch. Tighten the hinge bolts. Close the hood and adjust the installation if necessary.
Let the hood fall into the lock from a height of about 20 cm - due to its weight, it should completely lock. From a lower height, at least the safety hook should lock. If not, slightly move the hood lock upwards.
