Removal
1. Open the hood and lock it in the open position.
2. Remove the lower steering column cover after unscrewing 3 screws.
3. Unscrew the bracket mounting bolt and remove the bracket together with the cable.
4. In the engine compartment, remove the rubber bushing from the cable sheath and unhook the cable from the locking lever.
5. Pull the cable through the bulkhead from the engine compartment into the vehicle.
Installation
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Particular attention should be paid to the tight fit of the rubber bushing in the partition.
Attention! If the hood is closed and the cable breaks, insert a long screwdriver between the radiator and the radiator grille and push the locking lever to the left, then open the hood.
