Fuel tank
The fuel tank, made of sheet steel, is mounted under the boot floor and is held in place by a plate secured with two bolts.
Capacity: 60 dm³.
Location of fuel filler neck: on the right rear fender.
Fuel type: leaded petrol with an octane rating of 98 or unleaded with an octane rating of at least 95, but when using it, it is necessary to reduce the ignition advance by 4°, and in all 1.3 dm³ engines (type JCT) and in others manufactured before October 1984, it is necessary to fill up every fourth tank with leaded petrol; 1.6 dm³ and 2.0 dm³ engines produced since November 1984 are adapted to use unleaded petrol.
Fuel pump
The mechanical diaphragm pump is driven by an eccentric on the intermediate shaft.
Fuel supply pressure: 24–38 kPa.
Air filter
The air filter has a replaceable paper filter element located in a housing made of artificial material.
Replacement air filter element: brand: Motorcraft, type: 71 HF 9601 BB.
Carburetor
In 1.3 dm³ and 1.6 dm³ engines: Ford (Motorcraft) carburetor with variable diffuser cross-section, with automatic starting device and accelerator pump, driven by vacuum in the intake manifold.
In 2.0 dm³ engines: Weber two-chamber sequential carburetor, with automatic starting device and mechanically driven accelerator pump.
