Since September 1990, the connection of fuses and relays has been changed.

Attention! The main fuse and relay box is located at the rear of the engine compartment on the left side.


Additional fuses are located in the box under the front panel on the right side (between the middle part of the front panel and the glove box) and this:
  • fuse no. 28 (25 A - white) – additional radiator fan;
  • fuse no. 29 (30 A - green) – air conditioning device;
  • fuse no. 30 (20 A - yellow) – anti-lock braking system (ABS);
  • fuse no. 31 (30 A - green) – pump I of the ABS system;
  • fuse no. 32 (15 A - yellow) – lambda probe;
  • fuse no. 33 (25 A - white) – the main fan of a radiator;
  • fuse no. 33 (30 A - green) - main radiator fan (only CVH 1.8 in.3 engine with automatic transmission and DOHC 2.0 in.3 engine);
  • fuse no. 34 (30 A - green) – pump II of the ABS system;
  • fuse no. 35 (1 A - black) – EEC IV module;
  • fuse no. 36 (10 A - red) - EGR control unit (exhaust gas recirculation).

In addition, the following fuses are located on the individual power wires:


  • main fuse (about 55 A) - On the wire (+) battery;
  • on-board computer (1 A) – under the instrument panel;
  • fuel injection system (20 A) - near the relay;
  • electric tailgate opening (1 A) – near the ignition switch;
  • radio receiver (2 A; 3.15 A or 6.3 A) – on the power cable or on the back of the radio receiver.

Relay



The main fuse and relay box may contain the following relays:
  • No. A: engine operation;
  • No. B: additional lights for daytime traffic (only Sweden and Norway) or rear fog lights;
  • No. C: sound signal;
  • No. D: engine management systems;
  • No. E: rear fog light;
  • No. F: low beam;
  • No. G: heated front seats;
  • No. H: front fog light;
  • No. I: ignition switch;
  • No. II: basic lights for daytime traffic (only Sweden and Norway);
  • No. III: headlight wipers;
  • No. IV: heated rear window;
  • No. V: windshield wiper programmer;
  • No. VI: interior lighting switch;
  • No. VII: anti-lock braking system (ABS);
  • No. VIII: automatic transmission kick-down mechanism;
  • No. IX: rear window wiper programmer;
  • No. X: high beam;
  • No. XI: engine management systems;
  • No. XII: safe engine start (starter lock) in vehicles with automatic transmission.
