Oil pressure warning light
The oil pressure indicator light comes on after the ignition is turned on and should go out after the engine starts. When the indicator light goes out, the oil pressure is normal. If this light comes on while the engine is running or comes on while driving, you should stop the car immediately and turn off the engine. After two minutes, you should check the oil level in the oil pan (see subsection 2.3) and, if necessary, supplement its quantity.
If the oil level is normal and the indicator light comes on again after starting the engine, then turn off the engine and tow the vehicle to check and repair the engine lubrication system.
Caution! Do not allow the engine to run when the oil pressure indicator light is on.
Battery charging indicator light
The battery charge indicator light comes on after the ignition is turned on and should go out after the engine starts while the battery is charging. If this light comes on while the engine is running, it means there is a fault in the battery charging circuit. In this case, when driving, you should stop and check the integrity and tension of the alternator drive V-belt.
If the belt is in good condition and its tension is normal, and the control lamp still lights up with the engine running, then the battery charging circuit should be checked. You can continue driving to the nearest service station, but you should limit the consumption of electrical energy from the battery to a minimum by turning off all unnecessary current consumers that are not required by traffic regulations.
Coolant temperature gauge and engine overheat warning light
During normal operation of the vehicle, the coolant temperature gauge needle should be in the middle, white range of the scale.
If the arrow moves to the red section of the scale and the engine overheating warning light comes on, you should immediately stop the car and turn off the engine.
If the light is on and the pointer is in the initial range of the scale (the engine is cold), this may mean that the coolant level is too low. If the level is normal, and after starting the engine, the light again signals engine overheating, you should seek help from a service station.
Warning! Do not continue driving with the engine overheating light on, as this may cause serious engine damage.
Handbrake on and brake fluid level too low warning light
Lights up if the handbrake lever is not fully released (handbrake not released).
It also lights up if the brake fluid level in the reservoir is too low. You should check the brake fluid level and top it up to the "MAX" sign. The need to frequently top up the brake fluid level indicates a leak in the hydraulic system. You should contact a service station for help.
Anti-lock braking system (ABS) indicator light
In versions of vehicles equipped with an anti-lock braking system, the simultaneous illumination of the ABS and brake fluid level warning lights indicates that there has been a drop in pressure in the hydraulic control unit of the anti-lock braking system (ABS).
If only the anti-lock braking system (ABS) indicator light comes on, stop the vehicle, turn off the ignition and restart the engine after a minute. If the indicator light comes on again after starting the engine or while driving, this means that the electronic control unit of the anti-lock braking system has registered a malfunction in the system.
In both cases (low brake fluid level and anti-lock system malfunction), you should immediately seek help from a service station.
Fuel gauge and reserve indicator light
The indicator also shows, after the ignition is turned off, the approximate amount of fuel in the car's fuel tank. When it is on the red section of the scale, this means that there is less than 8 dm³ of fuel left in the tank. This is additionally confirmed by the lighting of the control lamp.
Engine preheating indicator light
This light comes on after the ignition is turned on when the engine is cold. When it goes out, it means that the glow plugs have warmed up to a level that makes it possible to start the diesel engine. The engine must be started immediately after the light goes out.
Tachometer
Shows the engine crankshaft speed expressed in thousands of revolutions per minute.
Speedometer
Indicates the speed in kilometers per hour. In addition, it contains a counter of kilometers traveled by the car since the start of operation, as well as a daily kilometer counter indicating the number of kilometers traveled since the last reset of the counter.
Daily mileage counter reset button
Pressing this button resets the daily odometer readings.
Direction indicator light
Flashes after the turn signal is turned on. If the flashing frequency increases significantly, it means that one of the turn signal bulbs is not lit.
High beam headlight indicator light
Lights up after the high beam headlights are turned on.
Hazard warning lights indicator light
Lights up after the hazard warning lights are turned on.
Brake pad wear warning light
Some versions of the vehicle are equipped with a brake pad wear indicator light, which lights up when the brake pads of the front disc brakes wear down to a thickness of 2 mm. This means that the brake pads in both front brakes (4 pieces) need to be replaced as soon as possible.
Attention! The brake pad wear indicator light comes on after the ignition is switched on and goes out only after pressing the brake pedal once, thus confirming the correct functioning of its circuit.
