Removal is carried out basically in the same way as for the SCORPIO model manufactured before 8/94, see p. 136.
Below we describe only the differences that you should pay attention to in the new model.
Removal
Remove the door trim, see p. 142.
Press both tips of the inner rubber seal of the door shaft, then press the rubber seal upwards.
Note: There is no need to unscrew the window glass guide rail fastening at the front door.
Rear door, unscrew the rear window glass guide rail fastening and remove the guide rail.
Remove the 2 window lifter rail mounting bolts. Move the window glass up and wedge it so that it does not fall down. Carefully lower the window lifter mechanism down.
Turn the window glass to release it from the window guide and remove it from the door.
Installation
Place the window glass into the door and insert it into the window guide.
Rear door, attach the guide and screw it with two bolts.
Note: The position of the window glass guides is adjustable. Check whether the window glass opens and closes easily after tightening the guide mounting bolts. If the window glass moves with difficulty, try adjusting the position of the guides first.
Raise the window glass upwards with the lifting mechanism and insert both screws that secure the glass to the window lifter rail. Insert the screws so that they enter the longitudinal hole in the lifting mechanism shaft at the bottom.
Place the internal rubber seal in the installation position and carefully press it into the door frame using your palms.
Press both tips against the rubber seal of the door shaft.
Stick the protective film without creases. Seal the torn areas with wide adhesive tape.
Note: If the protective film is not applied correctly, a draft will form in the car interior when the vehicle is moving.

Caution: For models with electric windows: If the window lifter/window glass has been removed or the battery has been disconnected, the control unit must "learn" the position of the window glass again. To do this, open the window fully and hold the switch down for more than one second in this position. Then close the window fully and hold the switch down for more than one second in this position.
