Central locking system (Scorpio II) (Scorpio 2)

The central locking system can be activated from the driver's seat, from the passenger seat next to the driver and by means of a remote radio control. The four door locks and the boot lid have actuator motors, which are controlled by the central locking system module (located on the right side under the dashboard).

The current position of the locks is registered by sensors. The central locking system allows for normal and double door locking. During double locking, additional electric motors disconnect the drives of the release levers from the inside of the doors and the boot lid from the corresponding locks. In this case, the locks can no longer be opened from inside the passenger compartment.

If the central locking system is defective, disconnect the multi-pin plug connector at the corresponding lock and check for supply voltage. If necessary, unscrew the electric motor mount to the lock and check the electric motor. Remove the position sensor from the lock cylinder and check it.
