Unleaded gasoline engines V6, 2.4 and 2.9 liters

All V6, 2.4 and 2.9 dm3 engines can run on 95 unleaded petrol (unleaded Premium).

On engines 2.9 in.3, with a manual transmission installed from December 1988, and models with an automatic transmission installed from July 1988, when using unleaded gasoline, it is not necessary to adjust the ignition parameters. These models can be identified by the suffix after the number on the ignition module. Manual transmission models must have a suffix "JA", models with automatic transmission - "BD".

On all other models, the ignition timing must be corrected before using unleaded gasoline. This can be done by installing an octane correction wire. On 2.4 and 2.9 in.3 engines, this wire must be installed and the red input grounded - this will decrease the ignition timing by 4°from the set value of 12°before TDC, determining the correct lag value of 8°before TDC TDC.

Vehicles with a catalytic converter must use unleaded gasoline only.
