1. Unscrew the air filter cover screws.

2. Remove the spring clips and air cleaner cover.

3. Remove the air filter.

4. Wipe the inside surface of the air filter housing.

5. Disconnect the cold air intake line.

6. Disconnect the vacuum line from the intake manifold and the hot air supply line from the exhaust manifold intake.



7. Unscrew the screws securing the air filter housing to the cylinder head cover.

8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

DOHC engines with fuel injection system



DOHC Fuel Injection Engine Air Filter

1. Disconnect the connector from the idle speed control valve on the front of the overpressure chamber.

2. Remove the intake hose from the air intake tube.

3. Unscrew the mounting nut and remove the air intake tube from the bracket on the front panel of the engine compartment.

4. Remove the air cleaner cover retaining spring clips, then disconnect and remove the air intake tube, pressure chamber and air cleaner cover as an assembly, disconnecting the crankcase ventilation hose from the air intake tube.

5. Remove the air filter, noting how it was installed.

6. Wipe the inside surface of the air filter housing.

7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Engines with fuel injection system



OHC Engine Air Filter with Fuel Injection System

1. Remove the 4 spring clips securing the air cleaner cover.

2. Lift the cover and move it to the side. To remove the cover completely, disconnect the meter or unscrew the cover.

3. Remove the air filter, noting how it was installed.

4. Wipe the inside surface of the air filter housing.

5. Unscrew the three fastening nuts under the left wheel arch, disconnect the air filter housing from the air intake hose and remove it.

6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
