Removal and installation of the air filter and suction pipe

            0

In order to minimize the noise associated with the intake of air, the suction pipe contains several auxiliary containers, the so-called. resonators. Resonators reduce air vibration in the suction system. Air is sucked in through a pipe under the left front fender. The first two resonators are also located there.

On the inner surface of the wing there is a channel -6- to the air filter -7-, from which the sucked air through the flow meter (MAF sensor) -8- enters the next two resonators -9-.

Withdrawal

Disconnect the ground wire (-) from the battery.

Attention! As a result, data in electronic storage devices, such as an engine fault memory or a radio code, are erased. Please read the section carefully "Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.

Unscrew fastening collars of hoses -1-. Disconnect the two clips -2-. Disconnect the multi-pin plug -3- from the air mass meter.

Remove the air flow meter from the air filter and remove it.

Disconnect the mounting rubber element and remove the air filter housing.

Remove the central resonator from the rubber element.

Petrol engine: unscrew the mounting collars. Loosen the three bolts or nuts and remove the airbox located above the intake manifold. If so, disconnect the air hose from the bottom of the air chamber.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order compared to dismantling. When installing the air filter housing, make sure that the lower locking pins engage the rubber caps.

Disconnect the ground wire (-) from the battery. Set your existing clock and set the radio's anti-theft code.
