Gasoline engines
All models with a petrol injection system are equipped with a safety switch that shuts off the fuel pump in case of an emergency or overload. The switch is located in front of the driver's door in the left side wall. If the current circuit is open, then the button is in the up position.
Inclusion
Look through the peephole in the legroom side trim. If the button is in the down position (drawing), then the circuit is closed. If the button is in the up position, the switch has turned off the fuel pump.
Attention! If a leak is detected after an accident, or if there is a smell of gasoline, do not turn on the switch, as fire or injury may result from the leaking gasoline.
Switch off the ignition.
Visually check the fuel system for leaks. If you do not see the flowing gasoline and do not hear its smell, then you can press the switch button.
Turn on the ignition, the operation of the fuel pump is clearly audible, pressure is created in the system.
Switch off the ignition and once again visually check the fuel system for leaks, if necessary, eliminate the leak.
Replacement
Unscrew the three fixing bolts of the side lining of the footwell and remove it.
Slide the insulating material on the switch and unscrew the two switch mounting bolts.
Disconnect the multi-pin plug from the safety switch using a screwdriver.
The installation of the switch is carried out in the reverse order compared to the dismantling.
