Four-cylinder petrol engine without adjustable drive wheel loader, diesel engine
Gasoline engine: Remove the air chamber above the intake manifold.
Press the gas pedal all the way down (full throttle position) and secure it in this position. To do this, take a suitable block of wood and place it between the pedal and the seat, or get an assistant.
Remove the throttle linkage housing retaining clips from the counter support. Move the throttle linkage housing back until the throttle lever, or on a diesel engine the fuel injection pump lever, reaches the full throttle stop. Reinstall the throttle linkage housing in this position.
Release the accelerator pedal, then press it again and check if the throttle valve has reached the full throttle position. If not, a new adjustment is required.
Install the air box over the intake manifold, first connect the air hose.
Cars with adjustable drive wheel loader
The adjustment of the wheel loader is used in all four-wheel drive vehicles, in other models this adjustment is optional. This device eliminates uncontrolled turning (slipping) of the drive wheels during acceleration of the vehicle. The adjustment is carried out by acting on the brake through the ABS/TCS module for each wheel separately. Additionally, in such a case, the engine power is reduced through the throttle drive, which returns the throttle valve, counteracting the gas pedal. There are two gas rods: the gas rod from the gas pedal to the throttle valve motor, the other gas rod goes from the throttle valve motor to the throttle valve lever.
Disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.
Warning! This will erase data in electronic memory devices, such as the engine fault memory device or the radio code. Please read the section carefully "Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.
Remove the retaining clips from the actuators before and after the throttle actuator. Pull the ends of the rod out of the housing.
Disconnect the multi-pin plug, remove the throttle drive cover. Insert a suitable mandrel into the positioning hole in the throttle drive belt pulley. As a result, the belt pulley is locked.
Pull the throttle rod out of the slot in the throttle segment.
Press the gas pedal all the way down once and release it again. This will cause the gas rod to be positioned between the gas pedal and the throttle actuator.
Install the retaining clips onto the actuator in front of the throttle actuator.
Install the gas rod nipple into the slot of the throttle segment.
Press the gas pedal all the way down again and release it. This will install the gas rod between the throttle actuator and the throttle valve.
Install the retaining clips onto the actuator behind the throttle actuator.
Remove the locking mandrel from the belt pulley.
Install the throttle actuator protective cover, connect the multi-pin plug.
Connect the ground (-) wire to the battery. Set the existing clock, set the radio anti-theft code.
