Caution! The throttle rod is very sensitive to bending, so it must be handled with particular care when installing. Even a slight bend in the rod can cause it to break while driving. Rods that have been bent must not be installed. The following describes how to remove the throttle rod in a 4-cylinder petrol engine without adjusting the drive wheel loader. Other models have other hinge points in the engine compartment, see the corresponding section "Adjusting the gas thrust".
Removal
Unscrew the fastening clamp. Loosen the four bolts and remove the air chamber located above the intake manifold. Remove the vacuum hose from the bottom.
Remove the fastening clamps for the throttle body upwards. Then pull the rubber tips upwards from the counter support.
Pull the throttle rod nipple out of the throttle segment slot. In a diesel engine, press the rod ball head away from the high-pressure fuel pump lever.
If you need to remove the rod completely, then in the car interior, disconnect the rod nipple from the pedal. From the engine compartment, pull the rod together with the rubber tips out of the front wall.
Installation
Route the gas rod in the reverse order. Drive the rubber nozzle into the front wall. Connect the rod nipple first to the pedal, then to the throttle segment.
Slide the rubber attachment onto the counter support.
Adjust the throttle response.
