1. The function of this device is to regulate the brake fluid pressure on the rear wheels in accordance with the vehicle load. The pressure regulator was installed only on some models, and there may be differences in its design depending on the type of car and the year of its production.
2. The pressure regulator unit is mounted on the chassis in front of the rear axle and is controlled by a lever and a spring located between the valve and the rear axle, which serves as a rear axle load sensor.
3. Valve adjustment requires specialized equipment and a reference scale in accordance with the vehicle body type, which only official Ford dealers have.
