Checking the rear brake pads (10,000 km / 12 months)

1. Raise the car and secure it on stands.



2. Remove plugs (arrow) from the viewing holes of the brake shield.



3. Using a portable lamp, illuminate the brake pads through the inspection holes and, using a mirror, check their condition and thickness.

4. If the thickness of the brake pad lining (without metal base) insignificant, the pads must be replaced. If it is difficult to determine the condition and thickness of the pads through the inspection hole, remove the wheel and brake drum.

5. If the lining of even one brake pad is worn to the minimum thickness, all four brake pads must be replaced as a set.
