Removal
Raise the car.
If the vehicle is equipped with a serial two-piece exhaust system, the intermediate pipe must be cut at the point shown in Fig. F-2615 or F-2616. See item 8.
If your vehicle has a three-piece exhaust system, you will need to unscrew the U-shaped retaining bracket and release the additional muffler from the connecting hoses.
Heat the intermediate pipe with a welding machine if you have one. While heating, cover the fuel tank with an asbestos sheet. Remove the additional silencer with a rotating motion.

If there is no welding machine, then it is necessary to cut the intermediate pipe at the point shown in Fig. F-2615 or F-2616; use a hacksaw or an abrasive wheel for this. Cut the flange remaining on the intermediate pipe to length and knock it off with a chisel.
Installation
If there are any, remove the burrs on the front muffler using a triangular scraper or sandpaper.
Install and orient the new additional silencer, lightly tighten the mounting bracket (spare part) with bolts.
Install new rubber holders.
Tighten the mounting bracket nuts to 40 Nm
Lower the car onto its wheels.
