1. Unscrew the two mounting bolts and remove the pump cover.

2. Using a ruler and feeler gauge, measure the gap between the pump housing plane and the rotor planes. If it exceeds the maximum permissible value, the pump housing should be replaced.



3. Using a feeler gauge, check the gap between the outer and inner rotors of the pump.

4. Using a feeler gauge, check the clearance between the outer rotor and the pump housing. If it exceeds the maximum permissible value, the pump housing should be replaced.

5. Remove the rotors from the pump and check their condition.

6. Unscrew the plug of the pressure reducing valve in the cover and remove the washer, spring and plunger.

7. When assembling, lubricate the rotors with engine oil and install them in the pump body so that the marks (indicated by arrows) on the rotors are aligned.
