Disassembly
Remove the pump from the engine. Unscrew the mounting screws and remove the pump cover. Remove the O-ring (see Fig. 2B.51).
Examination
Clean the rotors and inside of the pump housing, and visually inspect the pump parts for wear and damage. Check the pump clearances using a feeler gauge blade (see the relevant description for HCS and Endura-E engines).
Assembly
When assembling the pump, ensure that the installation marks on the inner and outer rotors are aligned (see Fig. 2B.52).
