Removal the DOHC engine oil pump drive chain tensioner bolt
Removal
1. Remove the ground wire from the battery.
2. Remove the alternator drive belt.
3. Loosen the crankshaft pulley mounting bolt. To prevent the crankshaft from turning when unscrewing the pulley, secure the flywheel by the teeth of the ring gear or engage fifth gear and have an assistant press the foot brake all the way down.
4. To improve access, remove the radiator as it is difficult to remove the crankshaft pulley with the radiator installed.
5. On engines with a fuel injection system, remove the crankcase ventilation hose, collection chamber and air filter housing.
6. Partially unscrew the crankshaft pulley mounting bolt and, using a puller, remove the pulley. The puller jaws should rest against the metal part of the pulley.
7. Unscrew 11 mounting bolts and remove the lower timing cover. Remove the rubber seal.
8. Unscrew the bolt and remove the oil pump drive chain tensioner.
9. Unscrew the bolt securing the sprocket to the oil pump and remove the sprocket together with the chain.
10. Unscrew 4 bolts (indicated by arrows) and remove the oil pump from the cylinder block.
Installation
1. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the cylinder block and oil pump.
2. Fill the pump with engine oil, install a new gasket on the pump, install it on the cylinder block and screw on the mounting bolts, tightening them to the required torque.
3. Further operations are performed in the reverse order of removal.
