Replacing gearbox seals (Fusion)

You will need: a flat-blade screwdriver, a hammer, and a mandrel.

1. To replace the axle shaft seal, drain the oil from the gearbox (see "Gearbox oil change").

2. Remove the front wheel drive from the side of the oil seal being replaced (see "Removal and installation front wheel drives").

4. Lubricate the working edge of the oil seal with transmission grease and press it in using a mandrel of a suitable diameter with the working edge inside the gearbox.

5. Install the front wheel drive (see "Removal and installation front wheel drives").

6. Fill the gearbox with oil (see "Gearbox oil change").
