Removal and installation of the water pump

Remove the pump for repair or replacement if it is noisy during operation and leaks coolant.

Dismantling the pump is quite laborious, so we recommend replacing the pump assembly in the event of a malfunction.

You will need a key «for 8».

1. Drain the liquid from the cooling system (see «Coolant replacement»).

2. Remove the timing belt (see «Replacing the timing belt and its tension roller»).



3. Turn out six bolts of fastening of the water pump and remove the water pump.

4. Install the water pump and all removed parts in reverse order.
