Removing and installing the throttle control pedal

The throttle control pedal is removed for replacement when it fails, as well as when replacing the air intake filter to provide access to it.

You will need a socket «on 10».

NOTE: For clarity, operation is shown with the instrument panel and steering column bracket removed.

1. Remove the three nuts securing the throttle pedal to the pedal assembly bracket..



2.... and remove the pedal housing from the bracket studs.



3. Squeeze the clamps of the throttle pedal harness block..



4.... disconnect the block from the pedal and remove the pedal.

NOTE: Pay attention to the markings on the pedal. Get a new pedal with the same markings.

5. Install the throttle control pedal in the reverse order of removal.
