Reducing the pressure in the power system

WARNING: The fuel in the fuel system is under high pressure, therefore, do not loosen the fuel line connections while the engine is running or immediately after it has stopped. To carry out work on the repair of the power supply system on a just-stopped engine, it is first necessary to reduce the pressure in the power supply system.

1. Turn off the ignition, open the hood and place it on the stop.

2. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.



3. Turn off the fuel pump by removing fuse No. 51 in the central mounting block located under the instrument panel (see «Mounting blocks»).

4. Connect the wire to the terminal «minus» battery, start the engine and let it run until the fuel rail runs out of fuel. After that, the engine will shut down.

5. Turn off the ignition. Now you can disconnect the fuel lines.
