Reducing pressure in the fuel system (Fusion)

Attention! The fuel in the fuel system is under high pressure, so it is prohibited to loosen the fuel line connections while the engine is running or immediately after it has been stopped. To carry out repair work on the fuel system on an engine that has just been stopped, it is first necessary to reduce the pressure in the fuel system.


1. Turn off the ignition, open the hood and place it on the support.

2. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

5. Remove the fuel pump fuse F15 from the mounting block.

6. Connect the wire to the negative terminal of the battery, start the engine and let it run until the fuel rail is completely used up. After that, the engine will stall.

7. Turn off the ignition. Now you can disconnect the fuel lines.
