Removal and installation the air filter (Fusion)

The air filter is removed if it is damaged and to gain access to other components in the engine compartment.

You will need: an 8 mm socket wrench and a Phillips-head screwdriver.

To remove the air filter do the following.

1. Remove the air supply hose.

2. Remove the clamp securing the hose to the air filter pipe…

2. Remove the clamp securing the hose to the air filter pipe…


3. …disconnect the hose and move it to the side.



Note: The hose clamp is disposable, please replace it with a new one during assembly.

4. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose.

5. Remove the two air filter mounting bolts…

6. …and remove the air filter.

7. Install the air filter in the reverse order of removal.

To remove the air intake do the following.

1. Remove the air supply hose from the air intake pipe.

2. Unscrew the plastic fasteners…

2. Unscrew the plastic fasteners…


3. …remove the pistons…

3. …remove the pistons…


4. …and remove the air intake.

5. Install the air intake in the reverse order of removal.
