Removal and installation the fuel rail (Fusion)

You will need a 10mm socket head.

1. Reduce the pressure in the fuel system (see "Reducing pressure in the fuel system").

2. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

3. Remove the air filter (see "Removal and installation the air filter").

4. Squeeze the clamps…

5. …and disconnect the fuel supply line.

6. Disconnect the outlet line in the same way.

7. Remove the two fuel rail mounting bolts.

8. Remove the fuel rail by carefully removing the injectors from the holes in the intake pipe.

8. Remove the fuel rail by carefully removing the injectors from the holes in the intake pipe.


9. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the pressure regulator.

10. Remove the injectors from the ramp (see "Removal, inspection and installation of fuel injectors").

11. Install the fuel rail and all previously removed parts in reverse order.

12. Start the engine and check the tightness of the pipeline connections and injector seals.
