When the ignition is switched on, the low battery indicator light does not light up
Break in the wire to the engine control unit and signal lamp	Repair the break

Low battery warning light does not go out after starting the engine
Poor accessory drive belt tension	Replace belt
Faulty generator (alternator brushes are worn out or do not fit snugly to the slip rings, the excitation winding of the generator burned out, the diode bridge or voltage regulator is faulty)	Replace or repair generator
Break in the wire between the engine control unit and the generator, between the generator and the battery, or between the generator and the mounting block in the cabin	Repair the break

Oxidation of battery terminals	Notice, secure and lubricate the wire lugs and battery terminals with petroleum jelly
